hello there! after spending weekend archiving video material , other data on dvd-r occurred me check hard drive prices , feels theyve halved once again couple of months ago. can pay less per gigabyte when buying hard drive rather (good) dvd-rs. heres question: being both hard drives (with mechanics involved) , dvds (with whole "look @ me im thin , shiny nothing works after while") not perfect permanent archiving (i guess data tapes best bet, im not rockafeller), 1 lesser evil? know archiving on hard drives, large amount (video) im dealing with, easier, , whole roxio toast splitting data on several dvds doesnt feel either, 1 more permanent? if backup full 750gb hdd disk , put on shelf 10 years along same 750gb on dvd-rs, put smile on face in 2018?   it's been years.   Forums Macs ...

i syncing exchange contacts via activesync. seeing duplicates on iphone not seeing in outlook. when delete duplicate phone, lone contact in outlook deleted. have tried reload of outlook contacts, have same problem. if has ideas, i'd appreciate   check make sure looking @ 1 contact group. instance, if sync'ed contacts through itunes or mobileme , set activesync, when view contacts see small flag in upper left corner of screen allow go page , select contact listing want view--all contacts, activesync contacts (or other name), mobileme contacts (or other name). if viewing contacts, , activesync contacts , mobileme contacts have duplicate entries, see 2 of each in contacts listing.   Forums iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch iPhone ...

yikes, it's been bad night. setting snow imac , going boot off cd in powerbook's drive using firewire target disk. didn't hit option in time, imac reason started automatically boot off powerbook's leopard installation. needless say, failed. hung on grey screen. "okay, restart , hit option" thought. did that, chose powerbook's cd drive startup disk, , installed smoothly. tried start powerbook , won't boot anymore!! hangs on grey screen. g3 must have written pb while trying boot leopard , corrupted installation. don't know now, other archiving , reinstalling. has happened else before? had no idea g3 wreck leopard installation this... i'm rather surprised apple let such bad bug slip through. anyways, "archive , install" theoretically work? or should , start over?   never mind. booted leopard install disc, regular star...

hi, i've been searching forum , google answer, haven't found yet. possible use css fix background image doesn't scroll rest of pages, when viewed on iphone/ipodtouch ? i've been trying code: body { background-image: url(bkgnd.jpg); background-position: top right; background-repeat: no-repeat; background-attachment : fixed; but not seem work or have got totally wrong? i'm guessing because on iphone, you're not scrolling page within window, scrolling whole window , down screen - though background fixed, still move in same way on desktop, if click browsers title bar mouse , drag , down screen, background image move it? if know of way text on page scroll image remain static, grateful suggestions. cheers ..jai...   the css looks right, looks iphone thing.   Forums ...
