At&t store no cash or Apple store no cash


i have seen threads on here saying cant use cash 3g iphone.i wanted know @ at&t store or @ apple or both.the reason asking because in at&t store today , said have never heard that.can please unconfuse me on credit card thing.

need help with itunes 7.7
