UK 02 Iphone 3G Launch a Disaster


the launch of the iphone 3g in uk bad in experience , think 02 should have been more prepared friday 11th considering on monday saw demand when allowing people pre-order (which failed many people).

here of things came across:

1. day before friday 11th 02 decide not shops open @ 8.02 said

2. 02 , cpw shops had 4 16gb iphones in cases sold staff. in case 02 staff said straight away there no 16gb iphone's

3. half cpw staff don't know can "upgrade"

4. few minutes after 8.02 credit check servers crash. when start working again takes 3 hours go through.

5. have gone apple store weren't doing upgrades.

6. in apple store's having problems because 02 activation website works ie , not safari. think apple want use windows

still think iphone 3g brilliant , in end managed reserve iphone 16gb.
 

it complete disaster. @ o2 needs take long hard @ whole process.
