Apple Confirms 8am Retail Launch of iPhone 3G

despite mixed signals @ retail meeting last night, apple has updated retail website @ http://www.apple.com/retail, indicating iphone 3g launched @ 8 a.m. @ apple retail stores on july 11th.

at&t had announced 8 a.m. launch time iphone 3g launch, had not had official word apple. 8 a.m. earlier either of retail shops typically open.
