Performance Related Question


this first post on macrumors, although im long time reader.

anyway, own mac mini current low end version no upgrades is. has served me quite while now, hard drive space speed of cpu, amount of ram, , lack of dedicated video card stating me (i must apologize horrible grammar in sentence) . feel need more power, , mobility great, not having tethered desk dream me (if can't tell have never owned laptop...).

enough of life story... i'm in market macbook pro, , concerned eventual upgrade (did loose interest?). concern upgrade bring significant performance increases, cause me "kick" myself over.

more important info.

uses:

every day tasks
creative tasks (cs3, :apple:protools, etc)
wouldn't mind playing game or 2 through boot camp

im going purchasing mid-range mbp, , able purchase end of july.

my questions you:

1) worth waiting upgrade (mac mini killing me :eek:)
2) opinions of mbp
3) want kill me asking upgrade question

before forget... hooking 19in monitor, , using main computer. didn't figure out in original post, im getting 15.4 inch base configuration.

if matters im canadian.

need help with itunes 7.7
