Is it time for a new battery?


i have 15" macbook pro bought new in 1/06. battery status show have hour left on charge , shuts off. doesn't sleep pulling plug on desktop.

istat pro says battery health 60%.

sound need new battery or else?

should information looks this

full charge capacity (mah): 3749
remaining capacity (mah): 3621
amperage (ma): 271
voltage (mv): 12588
cycle count: 172

full charge (on new ibook 4400, iirc), have decent charge left...
cycle count, when hits 300, batteries start go down hill (according apple)...

both numbers should give sense, laptop batteries seem last 1.5 years or so, under heavy (ab)use, if you're pushing 2.5 years, not bad, not bad @ all.

need help with itunes 7.7
