WPA2 Enterprise problems

i have ipod touch 2.0. work @ company uses wpa2 enterprise leap. released specific instruction on how set iphone/touch on intranet followed causes 2 major problems, 1 of able resolve (and thought i'd post in case others struggling enterprise features of 2.0). here happened. i'm cross-posting on iphone forum know way iphone handles wifi similar , there more enterprise users there.

problem #1: repeated failed authentication (sorta resolved)
surprised when setting wifi in enterprise setting there no advanced options. asks work ssid (which in company hidden network), network type (wpa2-enterprise), , username/password. no advanced settings pick authentication type. fill out how internal website instructed us, , able connect. however, when put touch sleep , wifi radio shut off, network fail reconnect upon waking device (see problem #2). when went network settings, hidden ssid show in list, appear , disappear every 2-3 seconds. tap on it, think while , bring password box. tap in pw, , reject it. however, if tapped "other" in ssid list , manually tapped in information again, work.

well, way fixed pain. department no help. downloaded iphone configuration web utility (just google it) , able manually set advanced settings network (including picking leap authentication). solved repeated password box issue above.

problem #2: enterprise network won't automatically reconnect
else noticing this? home network (personal wpa) reconnects fine when take out of sleep mode, work network refuses automatically reconnect. have go settings, wireless, , tap on ssid connect again. annoying because disables "fetch" email on ipod touch.
