Worthwhile to get old 15" G4 PB screen fixed?


hi:

we've got old 15" 1.5 ghz g4 aluminum series power book. 1 of our dogs accidentally yanked off coffee table. thought broken; screen stayed dark, although hear come on & boot up. learned if worked driving external display.

spoke @ macauthority, reseller, in nashville, tn. believe charge $100 evaluate 1 repair, apply toward repair if go through it. it's historically been understanding notebook lcd displays expensive fix, suspected it'd expensive repair.

considering i'd planned on getting intel macbook pro in next couple of years, blowing several hundred on seemed idiotic let sit awhile.

tonight, noticed display isn't entirely dead. faintly make out display, including box said sytem clock set date in future. i'm guessing light lcd what's broken.

care give me rough guess costs apt involved fixing thing? if walk in & have them take @ it, i'm out $100 nothing (to me) if don't follow through, out several hundred several-year-old soon-to-be-replaced-anyway old g4 notebook (that still pleasure have around) fixed & in service awhile.

depends on cost. if can find cheap replacement go ahead , fix it. g4 still make decent web surfing/itunes machine.

need help with itunes 7.7
