iPod touch won't go into DFU/recovery mode


i know how supposed work, hold home , power , keep holding till apple logo appears release power hold home. no matter do, won't go it. think has w/ jailbreaking since got replacement ipod , plug in itunes, says has dianostic info send apple , files relate "apollo", "parking lot", "preferences", , many other known jailbreak apps. can offer help?

edit/ found out how, remember had plug ipod itunes while holding of buttons , not?

need help with itunes 7.7
