Iphone 2G touch screen insanity. Please Help


i'm pretty sure touch screen bummed on iphone. bottom 4 icons not respond @ no matter how press them. funny thing slider icon unlock , answer calls works flawlessly, in exact same area pressing not work. i'm getting ready sell broken , new 3g i'm wondering why slider still works? there different sensor swipes presses? doesn't make sense. i've restored twice dfu , i'm upset. no warranty because it's unlocked. sad times think. suggestions?
