updating iPhone applications


since purchasing bunch of applications iphone, have on occassion received application updates on iphone. app store icon on iphone have red number appear on it, if has emails. works fine, discovered method.

if go itunes , choose applications list of media available on computer (upper left, can choose music music files , playlists), see of software have downloaded/purchased. on lower right of screen, there's button called "check updates". had done , learned had 12 application updates download though iphone not indicating this. downloaded them , updated iphone.

1 other thing noticed if update application via iphone, builds updated application new icon on page wherever there's space one. replaces original icon had on iphone. means, if update program directly on iphone, have rearrange icons them way were. when update via itunes, of icons stay were.

guess have check updates in 3 places: software updates our mac via :apple: menu, iphone software updates via itunes (when iphone connected) , application updates via itunes. fun fun.
 

my wife has iphone , have iphone , have exact same apps on our phones. phone's app store icon shows red #'s when there updates. mine not. there update ebay app , pandora app , mine never showed. went app store , clicked on check updates, , said date. buggy or what? there updates... acts doesn't check see if there updates.

need help with itunes 7.7
