Only one speaker works?


hi all,
have new iphone 3g, , have been loving far. i've noticed speaker(s) on bottom of iphone. since yesterday, noticed 1 of speakers (the left one) produces sound.

if i'm using ipod on it, plug left speaker finger...the sound muted. if plug right speaker (instead of left), nothing muted.

our iphones have 1 speaker (on left)? curious...

need help with itunes 7.7
