Help Connecting to Windows Workgroup & Printer

hi everyone.

pretty new osx, been 1 month , bit. haven't had time worry or play around new toy, have been trying connect windows workgroup @ home, can't seem other computers show under "shared" in finder.
can't find shared printer on network.

here set up:
have imac 20" 2.66ghz want able access: vista home-built computer , 2 xp laptops.
have modem connected airport extreme , airport express used extend wireless network.

note: have been able see other computers on network (without airport express in use). also, physically closer other computers
have been able connect vista computer going through go-> connect to-> smb://ip.of.computer, needed username , password , popped unfamiliar disk mount thing

have tried following:
- created new location , entered workgroup name in wins tab in network preferences. however, don't have server didn't have ip or anything.
- made sure have file sharing turned on , printer sharing under firewall settings.
- tried removing airport express, still couldn't connect.

also, connect printer connected vista computer via usb. when go add printer, no printer detected. figured maybe once on network should able find printer, not sure how add it.
note: don't think driver issue because had once connected printer airport express (without airport extreme) , able print wirelessly.

sum up...
how connect windows workgroup of vista + xp computers , printer airport extreme , airport express leopard 10.5.4?
if has been able or can in general appreciate it.

in advance.

first of all, whole thing won't work if file , printer sharing aren't enabled on vista machine. vista auto-disable them if thinks you're on public network.

secondly, disk mount thing speak of normal - it's asking shared folder windows machine offering wish connect to.

third, make sure mac , windows machines in same workgroup. sounds you've got mac configured (you don't need wins - it's not needed home networking).
