iPhone 3G keeps defaulting to time zone Cupertino


i noticed mail showing wrong 'received' time. on receiving mail, shows received time several hours before current time on phone. time on phone correct.

looked in time zone settings , set cupertino. have repeatedly set london or edinburgh when go mail, times still wrong. when return prefs, time zone has reset cupertino. have tested loads of times , changes seem stick until go mail. this, revert cupertino. happens regardless of time zone support settings in mail.

searched forum , can't find on must missing obvious - what?
 

it wants go home!

need help with itunes 7.7
