New to Mac - What kind of laptop to buy


i haven't used mac in like, 10 years, because parents never bought 1 , there weren't in school. i'm thinking of buying mac laptop. don't want to, nor can invest more $500 in laptop. i've been surfing ebay, don't know kind of old school laptop buy. suggestions? told me mac book beginners computer.
 

you'll able refurb or older generation macbook $500. won't regret it, though.

need help with itunes 7.7
