Has anyone tested their iPhone against a similar capable phone?

i'm curious people got results?

tested iphone against coworker's samsung blackjack 2 ways:

1. traditional online speedtests
2. actual website visits.

don't have raw number i've observed against blackjack.

in terms of speed tests, wtf blown out water 3 times test. got avg throughput of 150kbps, , whenever tested got 150kbps once , other 2 times got 83kbps , and measly 78kbps.

however, speedtests don't take consideration rendering in page formats , not.

cleared out our caches , visited ebay.com , nytimes.com

right of bat ebay progress bar @ 50% while didnt begin download yet.

time done text beginning render in.

next site nytimes.com no contest...his blackjack cheated , rendered mobile version , beat me 1st in time took download mobile version more half of full version of nytimes loaded in.

think people discouraged speed tests ( know was) indication of iphone's 3g capability, shouldn't worry when comes actual websites , usage. (well think of knows how mobile safari renders pages anyway)

i tested closest "iphone killer" 3g 16gb iphone , pretty close. but, v1 iphone couldn't beat new 3g 16gb iphone...
