Apple $100 credit from 1st iPhone good towards 3G?


title pretty sums up. assuming $100 store credit issued apple adopters of iphone 1.0 towards purchase of 3g iphone @ apple stores (obviously not @ at&t stores).

if has info contradicts this, please post here. waiting till smoke clears , don't have wait in line (my local apple store has no stock anyway). iphone 1.0 died violent death fews ago on treo 650 interim. :(

in advance can confirm or deny this.
