Waiting for Number to Port


how long did have wait numbers port (if switched different carrier)?

came t-mobile , @ apple store, guy helped me said 6 hours. make calls on iphone, incoming calls still on t-mobile phone. it's been 6 , half hours now, curious when should expect switch over.

know i'm being impatient, general estimates other people's experiences great! can't wait finished old phone , using iphone!

well, i'm in australia (perth) , bought 16gb black before 10am friday, it's 12 midday on sunday , i'm still waiting number ported telstra optus.
phoned optus yesterday - "porting system" closed, apparently details on corkboard actioned monday morning!!

@ least can still use ipod touch - works except phone service, , using wifi through home connection great!

need help with itunes 7.7
