Unlocking user folders


hello all, new forum. looked around bit, didn't see posts quite problem. couple years ago, had ibook g4, after various charger , battery problems, gave on it. got fixed after while, have son accidentally jerk floor breaking completely. so, parted out, , kept hard drive. while don't have mac machine right now, can access hd ide-usb adapter using ubuntu. problem comes in here: there 2 users set on ibook. myself, , wife. while can access lot of stuff on it, there 3 or 4 folders locked , don't have permission access. know how access these files? sorry long read, in advance.

i had problems reading hfs+ volumes in ubuntu after path depths. on external hard drives used storage.

need help with itunes 7.7
