Verizon Number Porting Trouble


i bought iphone on launch day didn't port number @ time because knew contract wasn't yet. number part of family plan 4 other people on it. when dad called , asked state of number, told him contract in 2 weeks. when called earlier find out exact date, told me contract in november, , dad apparently accidentally gave brother's number earlier. i'm faced either $175 etf or waiting out contract.

know of way of porting number without terminating contract? think remember reading @ point porting number having new number generated contract, know of being possible? know getting new number possible in , of itself.
