O2 Insurance


i upgraded iphone on friday, , woman in o2 shop said me had take out insurance on phone, cancel next day. told insured (i work insurance company), , didn't need cover, said compulsory. today phoned cancel cover since don't need it, , told wasn't compulsory. gesture of goodwill refunded insurance payments , payment of £7.50 come off bill.

think ridiculous o2 staff telling customers insurance required, after fuss last year carphone warehouse got fined fsa mis-selling insurance. through job know legally required sell insurance based on need, , since had cover, didn't need policy. didn't go through of exclusions, excess, or details of underwriters of insurance policy, or give me copy of policy details.

if else has been told must take insurance, no! (unless want ;) )
 

i have taken o2 insurance because staff told me neccessary. don't mind insurance, have experience filing claims o2 when happened iphone? simple , pain-free or did make quite difficult? know have pay sort of admin fees, there else should know too?
