New internal HD on appear, why?


hello, i've bought new seagate hd momentus 5400.4/250gb 2.5sata - st9250827as (components internal hard drives)

when try put , turn mac on white screen question mark folder appears, try put os cd , when come choose location, no hard drive appears...

1 can me pls.
 

that's because drive formatted windows (master boot record) partition map.

load macos installer dvd, hold down "c" key , let boot dvd. after check english, stop there.

go utilities menu , select disk utility.

in du, click on new drive (on left) , click on partitions tab. change "current" "1 partition" using drop down. enable "options" button. click on options button , change partition map "guid". click ok. name disk , click apply. quit du , proceed installation or use utilities menu , select "tm restore", or shutdown , boot cloned drive clone "back" new drive.

need help with itunes 7.7
