Debating returning my 8gb and ordering a 16gb


at last minute when approached counter on launch day, changed mind , decided save $100 towards else , 8gb. had 8gb previous gen , did space become issue, when go on international trip.

anyway, here are, 10 days in, , i'm having second thoughts 8gb phone pretty topped off. library large, don't expect bring me, i've found myself kinda wishing more space lately, if want bring few movies along me trip.

on iphone 8gb have;
  • 709 songs (4.95gb) - 256kbps, couple 320vbr, , 1 lossless album
  • 1 movie (1.3gb) - last of mohicans (handbrake)
  • 36 apps (188mb)

above, formatting, standard data, , os, have 345.2mb remaining.

keep bitrate high enjoy using nice headphones amp on occasion (i think of myself starter audiophile) , 256kbps , suffices.

also, i'm awaiting release of apps simplify media let me stream music home library right iphone, wouldn't handy when international. though, have been known bring laptop me on trips well, depending on location.

anyway, know in end gonna me direction go. returning at&t incur $20 restocking fee, plus wait 16gb black arrive (which take month).

curious see thoughts on topic, entertained same idea, , decision was.
 

i had 1st gen 8gb , 80gb of music in itunes. did make smart playlist, songs selected @ random, , max size of 5gb. had fresh music, delete songs in playlist in itunes, itunes automatically repopulate different music. , had spare gb or 2 movies, etc. never once felt needed more space, had fresh batch of tunes. remember, 16gb iphone, there come time when don't have music want @ moment want it.

need help with itunes 7.7
