Photos of the Western Digital "Elements WDE1U500U" USB external HDD - chipset etc


just bought western digital external hdd. extremely pleased take apart, , find uses "initio" sata-to-usb chipset inside, of type: "inic-1606l" (thoroughly tested wd , myself mac osx compatibility!).

here photos - it's nice know can swap out drive smaller one, , dump 500gb inside it, lacie/g-tech etc etc. okay know not firewire, don't plan on using rendering fcp etc. quiet , cool running drive, solid aluminium caddy (doesn't chink or clunk whatsoever - build quality, , has 2 thick silicone rubber shrouds @ either end, act rubber feet).

took me on hour, copy ~/home folder - that's 103gb of it!.

need help with itunes 7.7
