Aluminum keyboard issue with Macbook


i trying use aluminum keyboard macbook pressing few keys don't see character thats on it, alphabets , numbers work fine when try enter @ using shift+2 prints " , pressing { prints }

has run issue? bought keyboard , macbook both in sf , m pretty sure never changed keyboard settings / internationalization settings

runing mac os x 10.5.4, don't know if there updates keyboard lineup got mine few weeks ago think latest , have updated keyboard firmware

suggestions on how fix this?
 

i picked wireless aluminum keyboard macbook , has been working correctly far.

have checked international settings under "system preferences" make sure still correct? sure check under international "formats" , "input menu" tabs. wonder if somehow keyboard might mapped uk or canadian english instead of english?

need help with itunes 7.7
