Best way to view photos on an (HD) TV


my dad bought canon 450d , filled few gigs of space photos trip china few weeks back, , looking way show off results.

first thought buy him generic external dvd writer can put them on dvd using iphoto/idvd slideshow type thing. has old g4 mac mini.

alternately, has wii well, supposedly can view photos using it's sdcard reader, no luck far apparently - there way 450d stores images? same thing happened when tried connect camera directly ps3 - nothing, basically.

so, dvd burner best way go this, or there alternatives?
 

if had cash - appletv.

need help with itunes 7.7
