My syslogd is broken - fixed, finally


every time try view log database query in console, message in system.log saying syslogd exited abnormally, , crash log created event.

i'm downloading 10.5.4 combo updater, , going try reapplying see if problem goes away. know might causing this?

history of what's happened:
copying whole bunch of disks computer when time machine got stuck @ 4.7 gb , wouldn't further. ended having "hard restart" computer - that's when problem started.

edit: problem's fixed. turns out cause filesystem corruption disk utility couldn't detect.
 

applying update again didn't help, tried else. suspect got corrupted on external time machine disk, reformatted it, thinking might help. didn't - more serious going on. i'm not quite sure @ point.

need help with itunes 7.7
