nothing guaranteed
strange. battery empty before issue appeared? if so, might try if connecting poweradapter fixes anything.
if not, thing can think of shut down (forced) first pressing power button 5 seconds or so. after i'd boot macbook install disk (put in disk before shut down mac , press "c" key after chimes when starting up) , repair disk permissions (disk utilities under utilities menu). after macbook should able boot normally.
if macbook can't shut down way, i'm not sure do. pulling powerchord isn't option guess, know if it's possible (safely) shut down macbook taking out battery?
