6.5gb RAM now- worth maxing out to 8gb?


i have 6.5gb of ram in power mac g5 - 1gb stick besides 2 256 sticks. computer doing fine , i'm thinking using year or so. question, think worth maxing out ram @ 8gb?

when first bought machine heavily photoshop, isn't case anymore - casual user now.

guess i'm trying figure out is, adding more ram (8gb opposed 6.5gb) prolong life of machine?
 

what ram use like?

unless you're running lot of open programs, doubt much.

fill 8gb of ram because run parallels, aperture, , ps oftentimes simultaneously , use ram. if you're doing ps along internet/mail/etc think you've got more enough.

it's simple open window , see how free ram have - if you're not running out, more nothing except cost money.

need help with itunes 7.7
