Strange iPod Issue


i restored ipod after battery showing incorrect charge. right after restored it, started rearrange icons. jiggling froze, rebooted. when booted up, apple logo showed no backlight , went "connect itunes" logo. when connected, asked me restore. stayed on "preparing restore" minute or two, , threw error message below. i've tried known solutions, including downgrading firmware, nothing works. should do?

need help with itunes 7.7
