hi guys,
need opinions.
current macbook pro design, , not of fan of macbook air design (which new design of mbp's rumoured based on) . keyboard design keys joined together. not want change separated keys keyboard design of current macbook air, macbook , imac line, macbook pro no doubt change to. separated keys feel unergonomic , crap me. (my personal opinion)
im media student studying @ university in australia, , lot of work in final cut pro, motion, photoshop cs3. start working in maya , after effects. own macbook pro 15" december 2006, 2.16ghz core 2 duo, 3gb of ram, 120gb hard drive. paid approx $2,500 aus it. upgrade machine @ stage faster processing speed cut down render times. believe if sell sucker, can $1799 aus it.
work apple reseller, , have brand new still sealed in box 15" mbp machine in stock custom ordered , never picked up. they're selling discounted $2149. specs are: 2.6ghz, 2gb of ram, 160gb hard drive.
know, it's fantastic deal, , snap @ moment. (considering new 2.4ghz mbp starts @ $2449 student price in australia). if got gst tax removed (which not hard do, seeing work them) end costing me $1954. in $150 loss upgrade current machine, keeping current design.
think? worth it?
or should wait until apple shoots in foot , releases new design faster, , keyboard hate. (unless miracle keep keyboard way is).
keep in mind dont want machine devalue much, if put off upgrading year wont 1799 it.
, because work reseller able new machines cheaper well. current base model mbp $2000 tax free. (normally 2449 tax). reckon base model performance of new line faster 2.6ghz model?
if it's design don't like, you'll have refurbished models. deal on cto pretty sweet though
