Help with Internet Sharing between a Mac Mini and a PS2

pardon if come across dumb, i'm not snuff computers , such...but i'll try best explain:

have tried number of things work. of now, have usb device uses airport internet computer yet device across house. on ps2 end of things, have ethernet cable plugged of ps2 network adapter , mac mini. have went "system preferences", "sharing" , have turned on sharing between connection airport , "built-in ethernet". have gone "network" , "network status" see airport: "airport connected network wlcm2. connected internet via airport" , built-in ethernet: built-in ethernet active. built-in ethernet has self-assigned ip address , may not able connect internet". dot next airport blurb green, 1 next built-in ethernet blurb yellow. on ps2 side, able establish connection while setting network configuration online play...but when try use error message during dnas authentication process: "network error (-612) there no response dns server. please check network configuration". have tried fiddling manually changing ip addresses on both built-in ethernet on mac mini on network configuration set-up page on ps2.

don't have clue do. appreciated, preferably in layman's terms.
