iMac G4 crash upon recent 10.5.4 update


basically, have leopard installed on computer , did software osx update , when restarted, never got past grey screen. ive turned on , off multiple times yet still doesn't further. have original install discs don't know them. there files on computer need haven't backed up. anyone??
 

sometimes updates can take long time finish , long time boot next time. have been better if waited out because can take exceedingly long time on older macs. @ point start system discs , execute "archive , install" preserve data while reinstalling operating system.

need help with itunes 7.7
