Where to save movies from handbrake


i tried ripping 1 episode of friends onto hard drive on new folder in mac hd. file location "/movies/movie.mp4" "movies" new folder name. can watch episode fine. (except first 1 ripped, missing first part before opening credits) when close mac hd folder, , reopen watch it, says file isn't movie file. should do?

need help with itunes 7.7
