using timemachine as carbon copy cloner replacement?


hello!

im thinking of taking time machine backups. heres situation though: every couple weeks (sure, not enough) diskimage of macpro files carbon copy cloner on external hdd. way can take external hdd place macbook , have macpro files available in addition having backup. if take using time machine, able extract individual files macpro time machine image when opening macbook (just can dmg carbon copy cloner)?

(both machines run leopard)

use both methods. of course you'll need 2 external hdds @ today's prices should no problem. cost of tank of gas suv, can nice 250 gb usb external! :d
