so i've got off phone dad , he's told me wants current iphone 1 because unlocked , work anywhere (he travels lot) , since cant buy 1 without activating in store (he doesn t live in country). he's willing give me £100 it
means i'll have replace mine im torn between getting iphone 1 ebay , unlocking use on current simplicity tariff , continue normal or biting bullet , going legit 3g iphone since can afford it.
thing passionately hate lenghty 18 month contracts , i'd rather stick simplicity tariff, save £180 (online £25 simplicity) & have flexibility cancel anytime want compared normal 35/18 month lockdown tariff going iphone 1 means have no warranty if goes wrong , have deal hacking tradeoffs though fun (no visual voicemail, have wait workarounds of each software update etc). question becomes these tradeoffs worth £180?.
getting legit 3g means perks have shell out £180 significant student (booze money) , locked 18 month contract hey @ least can upgrade new iphones subsidized prices though means i'll locked in 18 months yet again (starting feel rogers' 3 yrs contracts). i'm not fan of 3g iphone design nor yellowy screens.
im kinda torn, again blackberry bold sim free thats kind of unlikely
suggestions?
i've been having same dilemma. has come down how important 3g data? answer it's not worth money. so, personally, i'd stick 1st gen iphone. perks of 2.0 firmware, none of costs
