Exporting QT Movies to Compressor for DVD

i've been doing ton of videos , want put them on dvd using dvd sp.
i've export edited files fcp compressor use dvd sp , quality great.
however, exported lot of older videos out of fcp quicktime movies. used drag qt movies idvd or dvd sp noticed quality better if use compressor settings.

if re-export qt movies using compressor send them out high quality files dvd sp, quality not same if exported straight out of fcp? assume won't, i'm hoping i'm wrong.

reason ask, because deleted of files fcp since exported them qt movies.

thanks.

just reference, dvd requires mpeg-ii video , either uncompressed pcm audio (aiff 48k/16bit usually) or ac-3 (stereo 5.1). so, if have exported qt movies other format, dvdsp convert them when import them. can't sure if there difference between compressor , dvdsp does. however, cannot regain quality; it's gone forever. there should little, if any, difference if run them through compressor again.

also, when deleted files fcp, mean (in order of not bad disaster..)? did delete render files? capture scratch? project files? original master tapes (yikes!?) if still have project files , master tapes, can recapture.
