iPod Touch Bricked when installing 2.0


just finished 2hr download of 2.0 firmware ipod touch (the release) , while updating itunes gave me '1602' error , ipod touch brick , not appearing in itunes, lol. have backup earlier afternoon can restore i'm not seeing option anywhere in itunes (probably because ipod touch isn't showing in itunes?).

has else had similar problems or knows how un-brick ipod touch?

didn't have problem when attempted install release of iphone 2.0 firmware on ipod touch yesterday - restored automatically. after commotion though in past 48hr's i'm getting kinda' tired of waiting on apple, i'll cross-grade official ipod touch 2.0 firmware release in few days when apples servers little more stable. :)
 

dfu mode

unable iphone or ipod touch doesn’t boot. in case recommend put device in ‘dfu mode’. dfu stands ‘device firmware update’, , allow boot ’safe mode’. . .basically.

follow these steps put iphone or ipod touch dfu mode. . .

* turn off device
* push , hold home , power buttons
* when see apple logo. . .let go of power button
* connect device computer , open itunes

itunes should tell iphone or ipod touch in ‘restore mode’.

need help with itunes 7.7
