Got a G4 Mac Mini for basically nothing

have wanted mac mini ever since introduced january 11, 2005!!! @ time in college , dad convinced me ibook better . . . had money mac mini put rest, eternally grateful , still am.

anyways long story short, 1 of buddies @ work bought new mac mini apple , has order exact ram , hard drive it. talking him @ lunch , said "yeah excited don't know going old g4 mac mini, don't want keep because never use once data off of it."

jokingly told him "well hey i'll give 50 bucks mac mini once have data backed off of it!"

total surprise told me sure, , gave him cash!!! 1.25ghz g4 mac mini 256 ram , 40gb hard drive combo drive. cheapest mac mini buy in 2005.

looking forward mac mini, going replace g4 cube using right write message. love cube have hooked 20 inch widescreen dell monitor, laggy on love huge screen. lag me having 10.5 on g4 cube . . . . ssssllllloowwwwwwwwwww . . . . . . . . .

anyways looking forward getting "new" g4 mac mini , using it. question, mac os x 10.5 leopard run ok on g4 minis? how hard upgrade ram , hard drive, , upgrading hard drive 8mb cache performance @ all?

i opened g4 mini upgrade ram, , it's not hard. feel you're going break you're taking case off. use thin putty knives, , it's true, need thin slide in initially, need strong, used secondary ones also. , it's difficult without putting scratches in plastic, other that, there's no big risk of breaking long you're careful. i'm sure can google guides doing it, suppose they're still on internet somewhere.
