basic network , internet sharing info
less of mac specific question, , more of matter of modem , router support. assuming modem can directly connected router (be sure router, , not switch or wireless access point) via ethernet (most routers have wan port on back, should connected via cat5 or cat6 cable), routing handled router. way in computers connect via sort of network interface (this depends on if router, have bulit-in wireless, have ethernet, many have both), long mac , windows computers have network interface (a wifi card aka airport on mac, or ethernet card) should go. on router want sure dhcp enabled , clients on network have dhcp enabled well. take around internet information on simple home network configuration, understand better. feel answer might providing more info need.
comes down having network configured have multiple computers access internet connection (regardless of brand or operating system). in terms of gaming, there shouldn't issues, long game runs on both mac , winxp , supports multi-plaayer mode. assume work, i'm no gamer. feel free ask more questions , if need configuring network, modem, router, computers, etc... bit of reading online , feel free ask more questions here. if want configuring network, please provide brand/model of modem , router @ least.
