Anyone worried about going over data limit (yes limit) each month in the US?

so, though have "unlimited" data plans, i've heard at&t caps @ 5gb month. no problem right? never has been, old phone, looking @ usage stats on old phone... in 1 year downloaded 800 megs. yesterday using pandora radio , other apps downloaded 25 megs, , hardly used phone too.

so... worried hitting 5gb/month? know pricing after hit that?

the 5gb cap data cards , smart phones tethering only. standard smartphone plans (including iphone) not capped.

notwithstanding, 5gb month "soft cap." aren't charged if go on limit. in theory, what's supposed happen if repeatedly go voer cap, might contacted find out you're doing that's pulling in data.

far know, no 1 has been "contacted" yet.

in case, data usage not counted when you're on wifi. , can used 250mb of data on at&t's network monthly on 1st gen iphone, though have wifi access both @ work , home (and @ friends' places visit).

edit: here's proof.

at&t's iphone plans page:

, at&t's dataconnect plan page:

unlike verizon, when at&t says unlimited, mean unlimited, , tell when cap exists on plan.
