Canada/Rogers - Existing customers not due for hardware upgrade


i apologize if i've missed elsewhere.

many others sure, not due hardware upgrade rogers while. actually, not until end of october.
mean no iphone me... unless of course buy new account, don't want since want keep number.

called rogers , rep said wouldn't know if still iphone until @ least 11th! man... talk last minute.

have lowdown on this?
 

my guess because not eligible upgrade in first place, make sign entirely new contract. correct me if have more accurate information.

if eligible upgrade, i'm not 100% sure can iphone straight upgrade at all on current contract. understanding far iphone only available if sign brand-new three-year contract. you, getting no reliable info rogers. suprise, surprise. i'm going go store on 11th , find out real deal. if can't straight upgrade or on voice-only plan similar 1 have now, not getting @ all.

need help with itunes 7.7
