Is it "safe" to upgrade to 2.0?


i read here people having trouble upgrading iphone 2.0. use features of 2.0 afraid because don't want lose use of phone or calendar contacts, etc. forum has been explicit step step instructions oh how things. (i looked couldn't find them.) please post instructions , whether or not it's risk update @ time.

i think fine. updated mine, dad's , friend's in row.

no problems @ all.

steps:
1) check see if have itunes 7.7, if not make sure update, because 2.0 won't available until do.
2) click "update" install 2.0, or click "restore" restore iphone original settings. follow instructions on screen complete update/restore process

need help with itunes 7.7
