PSE 4.0 crashing when saving/working with file


i'm hoping can me. have been having same issue on , over. open file, copy element, paste onto page i'm working on , resize. either crashes there or when tell save changes, crashes then. i'm frustrated! won't let me work bigger 2-3" in size w/out crashing. can offer advice on trash or re-install, whatever needs done correct problem? i'm using 10.4.11 on intel core dual processor. it's worth, airport extreme went down , i've been messing getting , running , possibly caused conflict there? (i still don't have wireless up...)

need help with itunes 7.7
