Passing "old" iPhone to my wife - scenario not covered in FAQs


all -

think thoroughly confused at&t rep talked on phone. want make sure logic makes sense here...

have iphone , plan 3g 1 on friday if goes well.

wife verizon customer. wants 2g iphone. @ point, if makes sense switch family plan.

so, iphone , erase , reset old iphone. @ point can "re"-activate , switch verizon number over...right? can through itunes if new 2g iphone? @ point need call at&t , move number , number family plan?

or better off having store "re-activate" old iphone verizon number , switch family plan right there on spot rather doing in 2 steps.

guess part don't totally - can merge 2 numbers family plan or need add line existing plan make family plan?

by porting number both merging , adding line @ same time.

pretty sure iphone 2g can still activated via itunes method.

need help with itunes 7.7
