Windows Setup Freeze [XP]


partitioning works fine through boot camp, computer resets blue screen of windows setup. following setup options, formatting drive works fine (i have done both ntfs , fat32). goes through file copying no problems. @ end of this, computer restarts , goes windows installation portion. @ point, computer freezes , never makes further. setup has "approximately 39 minutes remaining" until completes. have let computer sit 2 hours nothing advancing. drive seems making clicking noise @ point each time if can't read disc.

other threads seem find freezing during initial setup portion windows formats etc. before actual install.

running boot camp on mbp w/ legit copy of windows xp home incl. sp2. have used disc before (on pc, not mac) , worked fine. nothing plugged usb/firewire ports, so...

or advice? :/
 

that sucks hope able you. vista 32 home premium used freeze on not during installation. had problem norton 360 , vista on mac using trend micro instead , bootcamp runs perfectly.

wish best of luck hope able figure out problem.

need help with itunes 7.7
