Version too old...what next?


my 1st generation iphone died yesterday, , given 1st generation iphone apple store today. when synced first time, itunes asked if wanted "restore iphone or new iphone?" selected restore told iphone’s version old , need select new phone, update, , restore. if select update, itunes wants backup iphone first always. question when update 2.0 , itunes restores backup restore old backup first iphone, or restore backup new phone?

if itunes going restore backup new phone, how old iphone's backup?

when restore second time, you'll able choose backup drop down list. make sure don't name just-updated iphone same old one, or you'll overwrite old backup.

once you've selected old backup , restored it, iphone can named want named.

need help with itunes 7.7
