Strategies for keeping Macs connected to network shares


i posted following apple's support forums , moderator removed saying inapproriate. gees... touchy. anyway, if of have feedback, i'd appreciate it--assuming of course doesn't offend anyone. :rolleyes:

1 major complaint os x on years has been how mediocre networking is. apple has addressed lot of in last couple versions of os x, leopard still disconnect network shares lot more should. have applescript run once hour reconnects me network shares, it's still not reliable should , seems that, time-to-time, there 1 network share cause applescript lock up... in turn causes finder go spinning ball of death mode. such frustration.

sorry rant, wanted illustrate overall complaint , ask kind of strategies or suggestions of have keeping mac connected network shares. there has better way this.

need help with itunes 7.7
