Smart Playlist based on file location?

hi,

store music libray on 2 external drives....is possible have itunes creata smart playlist based on music is? i.e music disk1, music disk2? there's lots of fields can use smart list file location not seem one.

my solution

couldn't find way within itunes.

able create solution using hazel (http://www.noodlesoft.com/hazel.php). hazel watches whatever folders tell to, automatically organizing files according rules create. has free trial suggest paying $22 full version, worth every penny.


so, once you've installed hazel create new regular playlist in itunes, called mine "found on music disk1".

open hazel , select music disk folder when creating new rule. here rules create:

1. description "run rules on folder contents"
-if of following conditions met:
- kind folder
- following: run rules on folder contents

2. description "scan , add playlist"
-if of following conditions met:
- extension mp3
- import in itunes playlist "found on music disk1"

in hazel click on sprocket icon , choose "run rules now". add of mp3s found on music drive playlist you've created.
