hard drive speed test?


recently bought wd6400aaks hard drive. made partitions (1st os , applications, 2nd 1 photo files). did fresh os install , loaded basic applications. strangely didn't notice speed boost while booting , honest feel applications (photoshop example) starting slower on original hdd.

there way test hard drive if performs should be?

have 2 more older drives installed. possible 1 of them slow system down?
 

i did exact same thing. might have defective drive. run hardware test holding down "d" when boot up. may take while told me found problem , gave me error code. called owc code , told me bad drive , sent back. , listen rush best band on planet.

need help with itunes 7.7
